What Prayer Book Does God Provide as Your ‘Go-To’?

Are you having a blue day? Reframe what is pulling Are you having a blue day? Reframe what is pulling you down by reflecting on Psalm 103. Remember all God has done for you—we have a God of goodness. And He has a lot of goodness in store for you as you battle infertility. Psalm 103 is loaded with upbeat verses about our loving God, who continues to shower us with blessings—His love, forgiveness, deliverance, renewed energy, restored health… • For example, verse 3 reminds us that He forgives deliberate sins and heals all your diseases. • Verse 4: He redeems your life from the pit. He crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, satisfies you with good, and renews your life.   You can use these verses in your prayers: Lord God, Psalm 103:3-4 says that You heal all our diseases. I claim that promise and ask that You heal me and my husband, according to Your will and perfect timing, of any infirmities obstructing our ability to have children. Pull me out of this harmful pit I’m in, Lord. Prompt me to honor You by noting the many ways You bless me with Your goodness: (say your blessings now). Prepare to meditate: Slowly breathe in, saying “Jesus“, then slowly breathe out, saying “Peace“ three times. Prayer: Lord God, speak to me as I meditate on these verses. Redirect my priorities from consuming thoughts about my fertility to serving those around me – especially the hungry, poor, and oppressed. Show me ways I can uplift the lowly. I ask in the name of Jesus. Today’s direction: Where are the needs in your community? Is there a food pantry or shelter for the poor that needs help? What ministries here and overseas aid children and need financial support? Ask the Lord how He wants you to serve Him by ministering to others. He hears every prayer about your infertlity journey. Prepare to meditate on the Scripture above: slowly breathe in, saying “Jesus“, then slowly breathe out, saying “Peace“ three times. Prayer: Lord God, reveal to me where I am not exhibiting godly behavior. I want to have a pure heart. Forgive me of my sins. Strengthen me to avoid temptations. Steer me to your words of truth and godly character. Cast out any anxious thoughts I have about my ability to conceive and have a family. Bless my body—“I am fearfully and wonderfully made” by You. Direct my focus on Your love and holy will. I ask in the name of Jesus Christ. Today’s direction: Allow yourself time to rest in God’s presence as He gives you the spiritual cleansing of forgiveness. Prepare to meditate: slowly breathe in, saying “Jesus“, then slowly breathe out, saying “Peace“ three times. Prayer: Lord God, prompt me to recognize where I have not trusted you or strayed from Your Commandments in the Scriptures. I want to bring those behaviors to the forefront of my mind and repent them in the name of Jesus Christ. I’m sorry I have offended You and wish to avoid behaviors that pull me away from You. As you heal me of sin, please also heal my husband‘s and my reproductive systems. I ask all this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Today’s direction: What are the sinful acts contrary to God‘s parameters for healthy, holy living? Ask His Holy Spirit to reveal them to you.
